Dear EJEKT family,

it is with a very sad heart that we have to make this announcement: EJEKT Festival cannot take place this summer, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After weeks of vetting all options, it has become clear that there is no other way to go about this. This virus is not going away any time soon. The health and safety of everyone involved (fans, bands, working crews, festival staff) is our no1 priority, so we cannot go ahead with EJEKT 2020. It’s a necessary step and the only realistic one in the current situation.

We understand that our decision changes many plans and we apologize for any inconvenience. Obviously, this is not what we expected for this year, which was going to be our biggest ever, with an amazing line-up, led by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foals. We are devastated, but we must move on.

Since our first EJEKT, 16 years ago, we have battled through all kinds of adversity which we’ve always managed to overcome, because there is one constant: you, our fans, the EJEKT family. Your support is the one thing that keeps us going. To each and every one of you, we are so humbled and thankful, as you have taught us to be confident in the future. We are certain that next year, all of you and all of us will come together again, in an unforgettable EJEKT Festival 2021.

As of now, this is the information we can provide with certainty. Putting together a festival like EJEKT is not an easy task. There are a lot of details that have to be resolved.

In the following days we will announce our plan regarding ticket holders. Please understand that it will take some time to be finalised, as we are working out the best way to handle this with our ticket sellers.

We would like to thank the artists for being so accommodating. And we would like to thank you, our fans, for your patience and support during these last weeks, as we were trying to find solutions for this unprecedented bad dream that we are living through.

Stay safe. Care for yourself and your loved ones. Support each other. Stay positive. Keep in mind that this too will pass.

We love you,
EJEKT Festival
